Jeff Jensen was the contractor for the construction of a custom guest house adjacent to our other home out on Davison Head, San Juan Island. We have known Jeff for eight years. He has done two other projects for us and in all three incidents his professional manner, his ability to deal with the permitting agencies, architects and all other sub contractors is extremely professional and always done right the first time.......We can not recommend Jeff enough. You can have total confidence in his ability to carry out any project big or small in a timely manner with excellent workmanship.
We live on the other side of the US and he built our home with one visit from us half way through the project......that is how much faith we have in Jeff. You can be assured your project will start and end on time with permits in hand. Jeff is old school construction.....Your site will be clean, subcontractors arrive on time and he has excellent working relationships with the people on the island who do electrical, plumbing. and all other subcontract work. Jeff Jensen (Jensen Construction) built our home in 1998. The architect we used was not from this area, but the design reflected our needs. However, constructing it on San Juan Island on an up-slope lot presented issues the architect did not take into consideration.
Building on an island is a challenge when all construction materials arrive by barge or ferry, the availability of quality sub-contractors changes regularly, and staying on budget in terms of cost and timing is difficult. Jeff's crew, including sub-contractors, has been with him for a number of years, leading to a comfortable work environment without the typical cost overruns. When there were unexpected required changes, he was able to provide cost-effective design modifications allowing timing and costs to stay on track.
His communication with us on a regular basis from start to finish allowed us to be part of the process and the reason there were no "call backs" after we moved in. Sixteen years later, there are no cracks in walls or concrete, and windows and doors are still sealed tight.

We met Jeff Jensen when we chose to use a local builder and designer (Eldon Bryant who is now retired). They worked closely together to make our dream come true. The crew assembled to build our dream home was not just construction workers but artist in their own right. The artistry is displayed within the details of our house. In working with our building team, we got to help in the construction of our own house (tile setting, laminate floor installing, rock laying around the fire place and exterior as well as painting the entire interior and exterior). During the entire process Jeff worked closely with us to make our dream a reality.
A few years later we decided to add a garage to our house, where Jeff became our designer and builder. He assembled a great crew of local workers and let us again assist with construction. One of the latest projects we had Jeff help with was creating two custom bunk beds for one of our guest rooms. Throughout all of these years of building, Jeff has always been there to resolve issues and answer questions that have come up. Jeff is easy to work with and always listens and is open to our ideas. Working with Jeff all these years has been a joy and he has become a good friend. Jeff is a true professional in all aspects of all construction and we highly recommend him.

Looking back 17 years, we are often reminded of how lucky we were to have hired Jeff as our contractor.
At the time of construction we lived in Snohomish. We could not be here regularly to micro-manage the construction of our home. We soon learned that we did not need to worry, Jeff handled it! Having been in the construction business, we were happy to have Jeff handle the issues inherent in building and he did a great job .
Jeff had an experienced crew and talented carpenters. We had a lot of wood finish work and they did a first class job. Jeff is a pleasure to work with. He listens, makes suggestions when needed, has integrity and we trust him completely. His crew was here on time and worked hard. When the house was completed the site was clean.
We could not have been happier. We have had Jeff help us over the years and would highly recommend him.

San Juan Rd Remodel
We bought our property about 7 years ago and have phased the renovations into about 5 projects. We have had Jeff (Jensen Construction) do them all. We have renovated not only the interior, including two bathrooms and one kitchen renovation, but also the exterior as well.
We were introduced to Jeff through an interior designer that we found on the island, however, Jeff quickly became a friend.
First, Jeff does outstanding work. He is trustworthy and detailed. We could not recommend him highly enough. Secondly, he organized all the required permits and is very responsive in his communication, whether by phone or email. He is always available to help with advice and suggestions. He is reliable, competent and thorough. We would not hesitate to use Jeff again and feel blessed to have found such a competent builder/contractor to complete the projects for us.
